I might be interested in becoming a mapper if there is one place left. Just one question. Is it a miniumtid to sit and play?

start posting your ideas here ... the other mappers will try to help you if there any doubts.

Well, I create a map for zombie server but i can't optimize it. When i use mat_wireframe 3 i see all rooms in the map.
Probably you have somewhere func_detail on your map.Rember func_detail is placed only on small things.Not on outside walls that lead to nowhere.Or maybe you have a mistake by making the optimiziation itself, remeber the skip texture must touch the skybox

It is easy to place hint/skip and area portal to doors and windows but my map has 2 ventilation shafts that leads to another room next to the 1st. What to place? A huge hint btw them, small ones in the shafts or area portal?
